“I trained four years to run nine seconds, and people give up when they don’t see results in two months” – Usain Bolt-

Get to work! Stop complaining, push yourself, and keep writing.

I was invited to be a guest expert on Ayodeji Awosika’s Writer’s League community last week. I spoke on Ideation Mastery for niche bloggers, and at the end of the workshop, Ayo reminded everyone that it takes work and patience to build a successful online business, writing career, or blogging career.

If you want success, you must chip away at it each day, take small steps, create an action plan, and don’t think about it too much; execution is key.

👉🏾You must take action.

✅You won’t get overnight results, but with daily devotion to your mission, you’ll witness the ongoing progression from amateur to full-on mastery.

✅People want lightening results, but it doesn’t work that way. I published content consistently on other platforms for five years before I had major success on Medium.

✅Yes, I had successful blogs and a successful content writing company; however, I didn’t have much luck with platforms or YouTube.

✅I went all in publishing content every day for a long time, but people think I turned up on Medium, published a couple of articles, and hit the jackpot. False.

✅I worked my ass off! Like, really!

✅ Late nights and early mornings: sometimes I would finish my full-time business work and sit for five hours at night writing content for Medium and one other platform. I worked like my life depended on it.

So, when I see people complaining non-stop about writing on Medium and earning only $10 a month, I get annoyed.

Think of it as your training period, even if you don’t make $100 a month for the first year, keep going.
